Re:1993 Chevrolet P30 Food Truck Build
I'm mostly sad right now because in the last few days I've had plumbing struggles. I was so confident with the bulkhead freshwater turned wastewater tank. I found the bulkheads at Home Depot(not 3", but 1 1/2", used an adapter for the waste out(to expand to three inches for my gate valve) and found it perfect for waste in( im using 1 1/2" from the sinks on down) Have no room for my fifteen gallon tank under the floor, so I put it on top of the floor( my stepvan box is only 10' x 6', a shorty). Also, don't worry about the smallness of my tank, I have run a ten gallon in the trailer for 2 1/2 years, and we have it down pat. My concern is because I'm not sure I'm getting a solid seal with the valve going through the floor on the bottom side. My rubber washer is inside the tank on the bulkhead fitting with the fitting going through a perfect hole in the floor and the plastic nut on the bottom. I used no further sealant or glue on this fixture and seal. The bulkhead fitting extends through from inside the tank to under the floor so I should only be concerned with tightness(squeezing the rubber washer to a seal?) and the plumbing underneath, right? Unfortunately I fitted out the rest of my water system before tasting this, and only discovered my fail after testing the system as a whole. Will post photos at thirty posts.
