I don't know if her vote counts or not, but Mariton would also rather go to Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Does that mean, I can include Sandra's vote ? (even though I doubt she'll  attend not that she didn't enjoy meeting everyone in Pittsburgh, it's just that she doesn't have as much vacation time as I have and we already have Maritime Canada/Montreal and Seattle planned for next year) if that's the case...MSP

Even though I may not be able to attend because of the dates, I vote for MSP because it's not that bad of a drive for me and I could probably get that Friday off.  And since it'd be a driving trip I could finally stop at King's for a burger.

No, she would vote for Cleveland. Not because of the food, but because of The Christmas Story.

Enough of this voter intimidation and vote manipulation.

Danny and Gregg, you two get together and decide where everyone else will go.

As JFK said.....wait till the Chicago vote comes in!!!!

I've been keeping careful track of all votes cast.  Apparently all those dead Chicago voters rose from the grave and  moved to Westmont, IL; Mars, PA; Pittston, PA; Stoughton, WI; and Louisville, GA.  And somehow they all prefer Minneapolis over Cleveland.

Still a tight race with a few precincts yet to be heard from, so it's still up for grabs.

I vote Cleveland.

And in the same spirit as last year, because the voting is so close, I vote the loser of this race for the 2020 crawl.

Does that mean we can skip the $@&$?! Doodle Poll next year?

I thought the Doodle Poll was your pride and joy.

Maybe in the past. The fact that I get an email EVERY time someone votes, changes their vote, changes someone else's vote, or generally just screws around with the vote, I have lost my enthusiasm for Doodle Polling.

I have some ideas about how we can accomplish this next year without the shenanigans.  Let's get through this vote and worry about it then.

Umm....you forgot Sandra...I know some of you have a hard time accepting the fact that she exists- but she does- come on- if Linda and Mariton's votes are included, then it's only fair that Sandra's vote is included too

Jeff,

You didn't count Ann's vote for Cleveland..

That is correct.  I also didn't count Sandra's vote for MSP.  Both indicated their attendance was questionable.  While we welcome all who attend, and hope Ann and Sandra can commit, at this point only folks who are more than likely to be part of the Crawl should vote.  On that same note, anyone who has already voted and now thinks they might not make it, please let us know so we can keep an accurate total.

This attitude might not sit well with some folks, and may lead to charges of vote fixing.  Please note, both my wife and daughter voted for the Twin Cities while I voted for Cleveland.  Think twice before questioning the integrity of the vote tally.

Like I noted previously, we will be in Cleveland in September so if Cleveland I chosen, it's not very likely that I will attend, however even though we were in MSP last September I didn't spend nearly as much time there as I would have liked to, so I will more than likely attend for an extended weekend visit, whether I can drag Sandra along will depend on both her vacation time and her mileage availability on Southwest she can pay her own airfare if she wanted to , but I doubt she would... Yes you read correctly - I don't pay her airfare- we usually split the costs

Nope, no need to apologize.  If I'm mishandling the vote, I want to know about it.  You raised a legitimate point and I answered it.  My closing comments weren't aimed at you.  I just wanted to head off possible complaints from any Doodle Diddlers who might be lurking out there.

Dale, I'm not trying to provoke, not trying to stir up trouble, but here's your statement in post #151 regarding Sandra's attendance:
"Does that mean, I can include Sandra's vote ? (even though I doubt she'll  attend not that she didn't enjoy meeting everyone in Pittsburgh, it's just that she doesn't have as much vacation time as I have and we already have Maritime Canada/Montreal and Seattle planned for next year) if that's the case...MSP"

So based on that statement (and your repeated "doubt" in the quote at the top), and the criteria listed in my post #174, and recognizing we're going for a fair vote, whose vote would you like me to count, and for what city.  I'll record whatever you feel is right.
