    leethebard, I wish there would have been one on the list from the Syracuse, NY area.  There are close to 30 diners in that region and many of them are quite good.  However, I'm guessing it must be pretty hard to narrow it down to a Top 12 list, especially when you consider how many hundreds the Sterns have been to over the decades.  There may well have been a Jersey diner or two that they love but just missed the cut.  As with any "Best of..." list, it is totally subjective.

    I'll say!  If it wasn't for the Sterns I'd have missed Ace Biscuit & BBQ in Ch'vle.  Fantastic!

    That may be the point. In NJ you can't turn around without finding a decent diner. Elsewhere the good ones are few and far between.
