Anyone eaten at Captain D's Seafood?

Captain D's is a seafood chain I have seen advertise on tv in the San Antonio market. However i don't think we have one here yet.Has anyone ever eaten there, any good? The food looks good on the commercials at least.

Yes, in Manassas and Fredericksburg, VA.

We have one in Plano, TX but I haven't been.

A cut above Long John Silvers, but still "fast food", i.e., not a peer of Red Lobster.

I ate at the local Captain D's a while back when they had lobster rolls on the menu.  I would have been better off getting some pre-made  'lobster salad' out of the deli case at the store and making my own at home and then throwing it away

It's been years ago, but I always liked their fish (whatever kind it was). They are certainly better than Long John Silvers. If you're in the mood for some fast food fish, I highly recommend them!

I stay away from the fish (too greasy).  Same for Long John Silver's.  Captain D's has a pretty good lobster bisque (although it's seasonal), and I like their jalapeno poppers.  And the iced tea is OK.

It's probably been 25 years, but I always thought it was decent for fast food.

Several years ago they use to be very good but the fish portions have got much smaller and much greasier.  They serve fish several different ways.  All have got much smaller.  Cole slaw is good and hush puppies are good.  When Mamaw Smith was alive, she enjoyed going there.  It is very rare that I go there anymore.
