Per an email I received today, you can move the Meltons to the  "IN" list.

Buddy

How soon do we activate Group Me?  March 1st?  Beaudreaux, you better get on that smart phone thang...

Just as wanderingjew is the Sultan of Stuffies, so is Ralph Melton the Guru of Group Me.  Therefore I will leave it to him to initiate that set up.  As for my phone, it may not be "smart", but it knows enough to get by, and that's good enough for me.

When will agendae be available.  Roz and I definitely want to attend the Loveless which I understand will be for lunch on Friday?  I hope so as we will leave Knoxville early Friday morning.

Loveless Cafe was indeed originally scheduled for 12:30 to 2pm on Friday on David Sanders' original list.  ChiTownDiner is currently refining the schedule with input from outside parties, when he'll allow it.  The much awaited Spreadsheet should be available in the next few weeks.

Great news about the Meltons. Wouldn't be a crawl without them.

Yeah, I too eagerly await the release of an itinerary, since I really want to schedule a Sounds night and also would like to plan our non-food stops.

David included several non-food stops in his initial itinerary; The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, The Lane Motor Museum (looks VERY cool!), Riverfront Park, and the Fort Negley Visitors Center and Park among them.  If you have any other thoughts or suggestions for the entire group, now would be the time to let us know.

The Wild Cat Sanctuary in KC was a great addition to last year's KC Crawl.  If you've got anything like that up your sleeve, it will be warmly welcomed.

I hope this time slot stays so Roz and I can make it.  We stopped there a couple of months ago and it was super and our server was over the top.

So, BuddyRoadhouse  is working on the itinerary and ChiTownDiner  is working on the spreadsheet.  Not to worry, If I think there is any collusion.....I will draft a memo!

Oh, there's definitely collusion.  We'll probably end up eating our meat-and-three on a tin tray as we share a cell in Nashville.

Hi there, we're looking forward to seeing all of you!

I'd like to suggest a non-food stop at Sun Records. I'll have to look into other ideas! :-)

Also, if Graeters is in Nashville, I'll be visiting. Y'all can join me if you want!

Your comment got me wondering; and sorry kiddo, no Graeter's in Nashville.  The closest one is in Louisville, KY.  maybe you can convince your pilot to make an emergency Graeter's stop on the way in.

Sun Records does sound like a good stop to make.

See you on 4/25!

But there are Jeni's Ice Creams in Nashville, which some would say are even better than Graeter's.  They do have some exclusive flavors to Nashville, including Loveless Biscuits and Peach Jam.

If the powers that be do decide to include Jeni's, may I suggest the East Nashville store, that can easily hold 20+ people and has plenty of parking in the back.  That cannot be said about all the Jeni's locations.

Anyone have an opinion on Arnold's Country Kitchen?  My intel is recommending roast beast.....rare!  Would that be regionally appropriate?

Arnold's is (currently) on the list for Friday (second) Breakfast.  Looking at their Friday menu...

Roast Beef
Chicken & Dumplings
Meatloaf
Fried Shrimp or Fried Catfish
Green Beans
Turnip Greens
Mashed Potatoes
Mac & Cheese
White Beans
Veggie of the Day
Fried Green Tomatoes
Small Salad

I'd say there's not many ways you can go wrong there.  Personally, my Meat & Three would include...(long pause)...geez, I don't know what I wouldn't eat from that list, except maybe the "Small Salad".  What's up with that?  Thank goodness I'll be there with a couple dozen other people who will swap bites with me, otherwise my head might explode from the choices.

This is the menu from Loveless.  I got the sampler plate last time I was there which was about three months ago.  It was fantastic.  Here is their menu:

I had the Country Fried Steak with white gravy when we were there last time. It was the best I've ever had! I'd love to live near them. I'd go often enough to work my way through their menu.

Are you sure you want to be napping in Gregg's car?  Nap time will probably occur during our visit to Arnold's or Prince's.

You know, during some of the best meals of the trip...

Best meals of the trip? A very subjective list my friend. 😀 CTD is an experienced Crawler. He knows when to grab a few Z's.

You can add me to the IN headcount....

Got my eyes on Bearded Iris brewery....

-Boyd

If you end up going there Boyd, I am interested in tagging along.

Me too.

While I'm not really doing the food stops, I know the local beer scene and taprooms very well. Would be up to playing tour guide if anyone so desires. I haven't posted much on this site in recent years, but along with the Sundancer (Paul) I was part of the Original Glee Club group (I changed my username from pogophiles a few years back). Bearded Iris is great IF you like those hazy NorthEastern style IPAs (I do). Southern Grist is also excellent and has a bit more variety, specializing in hazy IPAs, pastry stouts, fruited sours, and coconut beers. There are now ~20 breweries in the area encompassing a wide range of styles and quality.
Chris

Call me old school- I like those plain porters,, amber ales red ales, brown ales, british style pale ales, pilsner's and hefeweisens

Art,
We'd love to have you join the group in whatever capacity you're comfortable.  I don't know how much beer drinking we can fit in during the course of the day, and by the time we get through our aggressive daily itinerary most folks are too pooped to go out bar hopping.  However, I'm sure there will be a few determined souls who will be eager to join you.

These local taprooms you mention, do any of them have live music?  If I can get something other than beer (a cocktail perhaps?) I might become one of those determined souls.

Haven't found anything similar in the area, but not from lack of effort.

As a follow-up to the Louisburg, Kan., cat sanctuary visit, that facility recently got its much-needed funding and will be expanding soon, which is obviously great news.

They're doing great work there.
