You made a list earlier in this thread listing the burger places in Savannah. It may not be Town Topic, but it will do. 🍔🍔🍔

I will always want to go to Savannah, and would probably start a few days early in Charleston. On the other hand, it would also be nice to try someplace different.

Well said Bonk.

Thanks to nagle for starting the Doodle Poll for the 2018 Crawl location.  A couple of polite suggestions:

To nagle-Do we want to add Memphis to the list of choices?  Not sure it would make too much of a difference at this point.  With 12 responses so far, there seems to be four clear front runners; Cleveland, St. Louis, Nashville, and Milwaukee.  Let's see how that plays out over the next couple of weeks.

To all Doodle Poll respondents-You might want to list your city choices in a post here on the thread.  That way, if the merry Doodle prankster among us tries to pull a Putin on the vote totals, we'll have an unalterable record of the choices to refer back to.

I cast my first round votes for Detroit, Cleveland St. Louis, Springfield, Nashville, Milwaukee, and the Twin Cities.

Thanks to all who have voted so far.  It looks very promising for next year's event.

I voted Milwaukee, because that's the only location we can attend, and Springfield, because CB15 made a very lucrative offer for my vote.

Not quite up to date on my Tennessee geography. How far apart are Nashville and Memphis? Are they doable as 1 weekend?

It's a pretty fair drive between the two...215 miles...maybe 3 hours each way.  Savannah and Charleston can make a nice pairing...

Just under 3.5 hours between Memphis and Nashville

I just drove this  a week ago today (but there was typical work day traffic too in both cities so it could be less on the weekends)

I've been to Moscow, St. Petersburg (then Leningrad), and Chernobyl (Okay, it was actually Kiev, about 80 miles downstream) and I can tell you, you could do worse.  A lot worse.

Huh, only three votes for Minneapolis/St. Paul.  You guys don't know what you'll be missing.  Oh well, sooner or later.

Not sure what the final winner will be, but if St. Louis gets the nod I think we can add a day in Springfield to the itinerary. Jeff can definitely put together a great one day tour there. Just an idea...

Suddenly, the vote total for St. Louis is greatly reduced.

I like how Detroit only has one vote...even Mrs. Roadfood didn't vote for it!

Buddy -- you're right about MSP. I think the drive is a turn-off for some after most of us had quite a haul to KC this year.

For the record, I voted for all but the two way down south and Detroit.
