Are there any updates to this thread? I might be in Orlando in a couple of weeks. I had heard about Porkie's in Apopka. I thought I remembered something within the last couple of years. I did go to Bubalou's the last time I was there and didn't like it much.

David, if you driving to Orlando and pass through St. Augustine, I find the BBQ at SmokinD's,  highly favorable for the area.

Sorry, I'll be flying into (probably) Fort Lauderdale. I was in St. Augustine a couple of years ago, but I missed SmokinD's. Maybe another time.

David, without traveling outside of the Orlando area, Sonny's is still my favorite. Also, I highly recommend Sofrito Latin Cafe on Palm Parkway.

All Sonny's around Knoxville have closed.
