Has Trump ever seen a bowl of Chili? This will be the end of your Presidential chili posts, I'm assuming.
Or will NYC now claim to be the world chili capital to go along with their world BBQ capital title.

Why have chili when the Trump Tower Taco Bowl is a call away?

That recipe looks like a decent mainstream Midwest chili.

Agreed. Olive oil, red wine vinegar, basil and ground turkey do not a chili make.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the fact that his chili contains BEANS!

I figured "Good God!" and "Not hardly." would cover that.

My family loves beans in chili.  I am not from Texas so feel that I can get away with it!

There are hundreds of chili variants in Texas. Only one demands no beans: Texas Red.

If chili is going on top of something, then no beans. If it's the meal itself, then it must have beans.

I have never heard that breakdown. I don't agree with it, but I like the delineation.

So does Cincinnati chili break this rule?

Well, as you and TJ know, Cincinnati chili is really Greek meat sauce, not chili.

Nope.  It's literally the U.S. Senate's Bean Soup, served every day in their commissary.

First, NOT a chili expert... I know what I like and probably break most of the chili commandments.  Second, ground turkey has its place but NOT in chili!  That's like putting turkey/tuna and/or mayo on a long roll and calling it a hoagie... just not true!

What if you used turkey as an adjunct to all the standard chili ingredients?
