I always suggest The Hash House on Decatur (different than Hash House a GoGo, a chain I think) ... Mary cooks up the tastiest, lightest hash you'll ever have in a nice little family restaurant. I have Party Hash ... try her home made catsup.

Just curious, but how do you know Belligio is best if you haven't been to Mirage?

The Sunday brunch at Wynn. was great - my sis had a 2-for-1 comp, so it wasnt TOO pricey...but, yes, another mimosa, please!

We caught the breakfast/lunch switchover at Paris - YUM

The Orleans buffet is a great bargain...and the coffee shop is good too...

    Pete,

I did loads of research & talked to LOTs of people in Vegas. It's pretty much agreed that The Bellagio buffet is hard to beat.

I think that Bellagio, in general, has the best buffet. But I should also mention that I enjoy Paris' breakfast more, just because it is more breakfast-like.

    Poverty Pete,

Your comment about the crepes, pastries, and eggs is right on the money!

What I would give for a giant ham steak, completly covering my eggs and hash browns, and a bowl of chili on the side, with cheese and chopped onions to top off the chili, at Benny Binion's Horseshoe Casino Coffie Shop, in downtown LV.
Hows that for a run on sentence?

Benny beleived that folks who gambled with him should be fed VERRY well. It's owned by Harras now. So how does the food compare? Anyone had breakfast there latly?

my father lives in vegas, so he knows the good spots. the omelet house on charleston is where all of the locals go, the service is excellent, so is the food, and the prices are very reasonable. and, it's 4 blocks from his house :)

Blueberry Hill coffee shop. There are six in the Vegas area, we like the one on Charleston just east of the Strip. You'll find it packed with locals.

    Hello all,

Lets update this thread a little .

Are Hash House and Hash House a Go Go still the tops for breakfasts ?
Rental car so driving not a problem .

Any other out of the way goofd little restaurants ?

Visiting the end of the month for six days and we are looking for some good roadfood , basically away from the glitz of the strip.

Does the Vegas Club still have the 9 pound burger ?

A stop for some shrimp cocktails at Golden Gate is a must , but I've heard they also have a nive little coffe shop.

How is Robewrtas at El Cortez I think ? Heard overpriced compared to the dumpy area its located in .

    Any suggestions feel free

Not sure if this is the correct name..Blue Bell Diner....Very good...Not far from the strip..You wiill need a car to get to it....Reasonable...A true NJ type diner. Very crowded 24 hrs...Lots of locals...

It is the Blueberry Hill Diner - There is one in Vegas at 1505 East Flamingo - 702-696-9666. One in Vegas and one in Hendersonville

I still think Hash House the independent little place on Decatur is still one of the best breakfast spots in the US.

I hear the Go Go chain is losing stores ... I have never been to one. I avoid places with reputations for large portions in that I am usually dissatisfied with the quality.

I had breakfast at Binion's last year and it wasn't bad at all. Very edible, which is not so easy to find down there on Fremont.

Essvee, thnks for the update. When Benny was alive the breakfast was great! I know it's not the same now.

Baah, the diner sounds good. It's now on my list for my next trip.

Great one, I have never head anything but good about Hash House.

The Stage Deli in the Caesar's shops. Almost as good (and that's great) as its namesake in the Big Apple.
