Best place for breakfast in Indianapolis?

Hi everyone,
Where is the best place, like a mom and pop, for breakfast in Indianapolis?  This saturday Jan. 9, going to the train show at the fair ground. Thanks, Charlie!

While not in Indianapolis, the Roost in Fishers (a northern suburb of Indy) is well known for good breakfasts. As is the Best Bet in Noblesville/Fishers. Rosie's Place, in downtown Noblesville, is also well known, (especially if you like a nice pastry). There's also Ginger's Cafe in Noblesville. Haven't eaten there, but folks do speak highly of it.

I haven't had much luck finding a great breakfast in Indy.  I usually end up at Shapiro's.

I'm still upset that The Roost no longer has dinner hours and dropped their dinner menu. I had a wonderful experience when I visited back in 2011. If their breakfast menu is as good as their dinner menu was, then The Roost should certainly be a worthy option.

Milktooth might be my favorite breakfast stop, anywhere. It's hip but it's also locally owned and frequented by locals. So by definition it's a mom and pop stop. It's just a nationally recognized one.
