A view from our table. There was a nice mix of young and more seasoned diners at dinner.
This was my second beer, called Sprout, a "Sneaky Fig Dubbel." Very enjoyable.
We went full CTD with the menu, started by ordering the left column. Front to back, that's XIAO LONG BAO SOUP DUMPLING - steamed crab and ground pork soup dumplings, CHAR SIU BAO - steamed buns stuffed with Cantonese barbeque pork, and SCALLION PANCAKES - with oxtail in bone marrow and coconut-soy jam.
Here's my plate with one of each.
We cleaned that bone.
Round 2 was SHRIMP AND CORN DUMPLING - shrimp, corn, ginger, and chive dumplings and JIAOZI CHICKEN DUMPLING - pan-fried chicken, ginger, bok choy, and water chestnut dumplings. The shrimp & corn dumpling was different from the online version, crispy instead of steamed. This was my favorite of the five.
We really enjoyed everything that we ordered at Brewery Bhavana and we certainly will return. However, the value does not compare to the restaurants we recently enjoyed in Chicago's Chinatown. The menu prices for some items were higher than shown online.
