Chicago hot dog?-Don't forget your slice of ketchup!

Los Angeles-based food entrepreneur Emily Williams calls her creation the Slice of Sauce. She says of the portable ketchup slices, “The slice is going to revolutionize the way we sauce. But it’s also all-natural, no preservatives. This flavor is the real deal.” What's that? How does it go with French Fries? I would think you just wrap a wrap around the fry.

I don't see how a ketchup strip would be a time saver for any ketchup use. Put it on a burger...wait for it to melt, or eat it hard??Can't dip anything in it. To use something, there should be an advantage to using it!!

If you want a slice of ketchup just cut up a tomato...

Personally, I think I'd have more issues with the texture than with the taste.

Silly boy ... you don't dip; you simply wrap!

Their next "innovation" will be ketchup condoms of various sizes for hot dogs and sausages.

(Actually, "Los Angeles based food entrepreneur" says it all.)

So now instead of the ketchup dripping off of my fries onto my shirt, it will unwrap and fall on to my shirt
Either way I always end up with ketchup on my shirt...

A little off-topic, but I never knew that leethebard was such a clotheshorse!  So, here are some tips for him (so that he can afford tickets for NY Yankees' home games)  and for you to escape the discount aisle at Wal-Mart.  They should have put their "Tip #10" first, for it is indeed true.

Once there, shop here.

I once bought 25 ties here for what N-M charges for 2 of them!  I still have 18 of them and the pleasure of giving friends and family 7 gifts which they thought were extravagant.

After shopping it's just a short walk to the 'Opera' Five Guys where you can have your fries with sauce Béarnaise.  And, upon leaving, don't forget to get your tax rebates at CDG.

Chicagoans may want to keep their blood pressure somewhat below stroke levels and skip this article.
Metroplex Jim however may go into his closet and start going through his old ties.
Me, I finally found an article on Infowars that contains a sliver of truth.

I have just started my  "Mustard on Canvas" !  Most people like mustard more than they like Ketchup, so I should make a fortune.

I'm a Chicagoan and yes you should be beaten for putting ketchup on a hot dog, but I love ketchup on my burgers or with my fries.  And I want my Heinz, not the dreaded housemade ketchup that a lot of trendy places are doing.

Amen, brother!

Attempts to "re-invent", "re-create", "imitate", or (worst yet) to "re-imagine" ketchup are both futile and most always disgusting.

No ketchup like the original made with bananas or mushrooms for us, right Jim? http://www.culinarylore.com/food-history:origin-of-ketchup

I was just explaining this to my daughter the other day at the store. Ketchup's been around a lot longer than tomato ketchup.
