JRPfeff Actually funny point...as not being a native here, it is a strange area due to the Mall (which is a huge draw for far and wide surrounding communities) and the chains & Hotels that are near it. Many companies think it's an automatic thing, but many fail...Buca...O'Charley's...Bennagan's...Fuddruckers...Hooters...Sonic...A&W...World of Beer..on and on. 5 Guys has always been a ghost town and many others except Olive Garden and Red Lobster are straining. A new PF Chang's just opened along w/ a Cheddars. Too damn many for this area, because most locals still go to the Supper Clubs, Carmella's, JD's, Tom's, Cinder's, and the 100's of other independents.
As for Brats, many awesome local smokehouses-meat markets...Jacobs, Niemuth's, Cedar Creek..etc...etc..so I'm covered.

I can live the rest of my life without another chicken sandwich. I don't know what the attraction is.

I think I see the start of a Crawl for The Contingent.

If those chicken sandwiches involve fried chicken I'll gladly let everyone else in the world have at 'em.

A few - but far too few - places use thigh meat for chicken sandwiches and it makes about a gazillion percent difference.  When I make grilled chicken sandwiches at home it's always with thighs.

Honey Butter Fried Chicken, here in Chicago, uses thighs in their Chicken Sandwiches.  It makes a much more flavorful, moist sandwich, whether fried or grilled.

That said, those Popeye's Chicken Sandwiches, using breast meat, were among the best I've had.  Tasty, succulent meat, surprisingly light, crispy coating.  It achieved quality levels far beyond expectations.
