Chinese Take-out
I called in an order for Chinese food for 4 of us. My daughter in law picks it up and is out the door for a Toastmaster's Christmas party. The kids take everything out of the bag and put it on the table. One of the girls opens a box and said "who ordered this chicken? and immediately starts eating a piece. No one had ordered the chicken so I quickly look at receipt and see a different name on the order. I checked it over and it was a completely different order than ours. I called the restaurant and they told me that we must have picked up the wrong bag.
My response was that it was their duty to hand the right order to the right person. They agreed to deliver our food to our home. This was great. They delivered within 15 minutes and I gave them an 8.00 tip. Now this is the best part of the story. They asked for the other food back! My question is "What were they going to do with this food? Resell it or throw it away?" Either way, I am astounded.

Sounds like the order she picked up wasn't as good as the order you placed.
I'm thinking that the food you returned didn't get resold or thrown away, but instead wound up with the employees. Just a WAG on my part.

Most likely to discourage scams to get free food, there's a lot of creative scammers out there!
