Detroit for Coal Country (PA) folks--Help!

Some buds of mine are headed out for hockey, driving, staying near arena.
Trying to help them, foodwise.
Just some criteria:
  • These guys are decidedly not urban; let's just let that sit
  • Designated eateries should welcome people who wear baseball caps at all waking moments--ergo, nothing too fancy
  • I have heard about American Coney Island. Is it the real deal?
  • Due to growing up here (I am a transplant), they cannot handle seriously hot food.

I'd really appreciate any input--they leave 3/10.
Thanks in advance

For a nice lunch and just off I-80 near the PA/OH line:

Rachel's Roadhouse - 2 miles south on Rt. 19, on your left

Combine Bros. - One mile north on Rt. 18, , on your left

    Enjoy!

    And welcome to Roadfood!

I'm at work right now and separated from my usual resources.  I'll try and respond later once I check my files.  You can check out my Detroit post on the original "Where Shall We Go For The 2017 Crawl?" thread.  Looking through that post and checking all the links should keep you busy for awhile.
