Erie, Pa.

Going there this weekend. Yeah, I did a search.

Any thoughts?

Bonk-
Even though Erie is only 1 1/2 hours for me, I haven't been there since we made the journey to see Connor McDavid play.  BTW, he had four goals and four assists that night including the overtime winner!

My favorite place in town (Pie in the Sky Café) has since closed.  I can tell you on my next visit, we will be stopping at Dabrowski's for Polish food and Coney Island Lunch for a Greek burger.

You will also find plenty of sponge candy in Erie.  I think of this as a Buffalo thing, but Erie is only a little more than a hour away from the Nickel City and it has found its way down.  The place I tried was Stefanelli's and it was very good, but there are others.

I also have a cousin who works in Erie on occasion and he swears by Picasso's, a sandwich shop in a big shopping complex.  I have eaten there once and thought it very much worthwhile.

buffetbuster,

With The Sultan being incommunicado again this week it is great that you were able to step up and provide some Fine suggestions to Bonk. Some mighty tempting suggestions there. Erie is definitely Doodle-worthy for the 2020 Crawl.

But is Bonk sponge-worthy?

Thanks, guys! Tried Dabrowski's and really liked. We'll see what's up for tomorrow.

Picasso's looks interesting if only so we can get details on their Signature Sandwich, the Lee Roslyn, consisting of Ham, *Twinkies*, and Cheddar.  We want details, dammit!
