Finally, a great sauce for white meat!
The sales figures for Lea & Perrins' Worchestershire Sauce tell me that I am not alone in "saucing" my steaks. For me, Worchestershire goes well with rib-eye; Lea & Perrins Steak Sauce with filet; A-1 on burgers; Heinz Ketchup & malt vinegar on fries, etc.
But, I had never found a sauce that goes well with white meat: pork chops, pork loin, chicken breast.
Sunday, Mrs. Metro and I drove down to Dallas to try out a new (for us) breakfast place: Another Broken Egg Cafe
, a chain out of Florida. They had a bottle of their "Plantation Pepper Sauce" on every table and, as is my wont with every new sauce I encounter, I sampled a spoonful. WOW!
It was love at first sip and my first thought was of how great it would be with a pork chop. I bought a bottle for home use and have since tried it with pork loin and chicken breast.
Anyone else ever tried this?
Seen it at a grocery?
Have another favorite sauce for white meat?
(FYI: It is a thick brown sauce with muted notes of both sweet and heat).
From the label, it is made and bottled by Endorphin Farms
of St. Augustine, FL.
