In 'my area', I am concerned only with my own truth and my own money making, and I have no complaints regarding either subject. Beyond that I have little or no interest.

A newspaper has to sell papers or ads or both. Often a free community "newspaper" will run softball reviews for advertisers, but a true newspaper with a paid circlation has to "call 'em the way they see 'em". The readers can vote every day with their subscription dollars. Were I on a jury, I would have to see something really awful to find for the restaurant. BTW, Glenn and Bushie, having eaten in both Air Force and Marine dining halls, I can report that in my opinion, the Air Force served better food, but that the Marines were better looking. Things may have changed in the last 30 years though.
