Let's get a head count.  Roadhouses for two.  X1 is in for Fred's but I'm not sure about her interest level for an escape room.  I'll also check with LAmuse Bouche.

Earlier is better than later, so 11:00 should be doable.

Yes, Fred's at 11, then we're hoping our CheeseHead friends will have some suggestions for afternoon and evening activities.

No activities for me.  We have grandparent duty so I'll be heading home after lunch.

Too bad it wasn't next weekend. The St. Sava Serbian church festival is a Roadfooders dream. I was offline for 2 days and I'm afraid I'm going to be like Jim.  Maybe I can tell you Friday night and maybe offer some activities.

Lots to do after your meal. Of particular interest note under Fairs and Festivals a bluegrass party from noon to 6 at Cudahy's Pulaski Park and India Fest from 11am to 9pm in Milwaukee's Humboldt Park. My favorite bakery in Milwaukee, Canfora Bakery is just a block from the park.
https://www.jsonline.com/story/entertainment/events/2018/08/16/whats-going-milwaukee-week-aug-17-23/979944002/ The MFL duo will be joining you.

Jeff,

The KRK Burger from Kopp's secret menu will make you forget about Fred's.

We will be at Fred's at 11:00, but will not be able to participate in later activities.

The Bluegrass Festival sounds like a suitable replacement for Irish Fest, since most of the music they'll be playing came from there anyway.  India Fest sounds okay too, although my first inclination would be to get something to eat, and after Fred's that might not be possible.

Looks like we've got our headcount:

JRPfeff & PIe Diva - 2
MilwFoodlovers & Beth - 2
X1 - 1
ScreamingChicken - 1
quijote & sancho panza - 2
Roadhouses - 2

We'll need a table for 8 10.  If anyone is thinking about making a surprise appearance, keep in mind, a table at Fred's on a summer Saturday afternoon is a tough get.  Better to let us know ahead of time so we can make sure you've got a place at the table.

See y'all at 11am!

Is there room for 2 more at Fred's? It looks like we can go.... If you get this message in time, great; if not, we'll go anyway and get our own table!

After Fred's we plan to haul it back to Milwaukee and stop at the West Allis Farmer's Market. We'll try to head over to India Fest later in the day--we live about a block away from the park.

A burger with cheese sauce instead of cheese.  Messy but very tasty!

I shocked the table when I ordered a pot roast sandwich to go with my burger.  Very good!

Nope, sent it to Kansas and got the usual turnaround time.  I was just really slow in finishing the roll.

You're forgiven.  Thanks for the tip on the Cheese Sauce.  Didn't even know that was an option.  I'm assuming this was a couple grades above convenience store nacho sauce?

It's that time of year again!  Roughly one month until our annual meet-up to share the World's Best Burger at Fred's in Burlington.  Saturday, August 17th is the day.  Like last year, we'll be skipping Irish Fest and hoping instead to enjoy some of Milwaukee's fabulous neighborhood festivals.

My Avengers assemble in my driveway every night.

That's inventory recount weekend at work but it's usually not nearly as involved as the initial count, so there's a good chance I'll be able to participate.  11am again?

We won't be able to leave here until after 1:00, so if there's still stuff going on later, we can meet up.  Maybe people would want a second burger over at Wedl's?

We recently dined at Ol' Wisco Bar & Grill in Delavan. Good burgers, wings and beer about 30 minutes from Fred's. After eating there I thought a Contingent Crawl around Delavan and Lake Geneva would be fun in the future. Add Ol' Wisco & Annie's Burger Town to Fred's and we have the start of a Flatlander friendly crawl.

I would rather stick rusty nails in my eyes than deal with Lake Geneva in the summer.

Whatever Fred's is serving.  They've got a full bar, although I'm partial to Sprecher's Root Beer served in a frosty mug.

Ok, just for you, ya prissy lil ... better stop before I go all Chewy on you.

Lining things up, without Lake Geneva on the route, Fred's to Annie's to Wedl's to LeDuc's. Full & satisfied just in time for the beer tent at a local fest.

Yeah, we're a friendly group in spite of any minor political differences.  Let's avoid that "Emmitsburg hospitality" and keep it civil.  We may not agree on everything, but near as I can tell, no one is thinking any "black thoughts", what ever the hell that means.

An ambitious schedule, but not impossible.  Gives us a nice tour of rural Wisconsin.  We'll need to adjust food intake to make it all the way through, but okay.  Any neighborhood/ethnic food/music fests in Milwaukee that weekend?

Since Whitewater's between Delavan and Jefferson a stop at Casual Joe's wouldn't be totally out of the question.

I tasked ChiBears15 with finding our Whitewater stop. He's got to start pulling his (substantial) weight if he wants to continue hanging with us.

Otherwise, great call Brad.
