I forgot about this thread.

Have you had a German Chocolate Chess Pie?

Pie Diva made the famous Chocolate Chess Pie using the recipe from the Angus Barn this week. On day two, she decided to top it with German Chocolate Cake topping. This addition turned it into my new favorite pie.

I found the Angus Barn recipe and another for German chocolate frosting which is really coconut and pecans, etc.  Wow!  It was a big hit and disappeared before I could get a photo.  It looked just like the one above.  Delicious!

I was reminded by my veterans organization that we are just two weeks from the observation of "NATIONAL "PI" DAY, Saturday March 14, 2015  (3.14.15)

And thanks to the benefit of rounding, next year will feature a true PI Day (3.14.16) as well!

Don't you just love numerology!

Monday was pie day here. lleechef made one of her strawberry pies, and she limited me to just two slices last night. It is to be hoped that tonight there won't be a bag limit.
