Is there a way to get the most juice out of a lemon? We squeezed a dozen lemons—cold lemons, lemons rolled on a hard surface, room-temperature lemons, and warm lemons—and found that each yielded the same amount of juice, although warm and room-temperature lemons were softer and therefore easier to squeeze than cold lemons. To quickly warm a cold lemon, you can heat it in the microwave until it is warm to the touch.
