That's the most thorough article I've ever seen on the Green Book, but it still just scratches the surface.  Interesting to know they're available online.  I'd like to go through them and see what was listed in Houston.  I know in the first part of the last century the majority of barbecue joints in Houston were Black-owned and operated.

I looked up the 4 addresses shown in the article but according to Google Maps none of them are still restaurants.  Hopefully the movie will lead (if it hasn't already) to some interviews with proprietors of Green Book businesses.

I followed the link in the Restauranting article to the NY Public Library's digital collection. Fascinating to be able to read through them (and sad to think why they were necessary).
