Happy Cinco Di Mayo

Is anyone here doing Mexican today to celebrate the 5th? Restaurant or home cooked?

    Had a tamale for breakfast from the house then a black bean taco at a music party for lunch; posole from the home kettle for supper.

    Well, that dates you! OMG. I can't remember the last time I heard anyone mention Clorets. Sadly, I see they are no longer made. Looks like he'll just have to get some Listerine strips.

    I never bought them because of his ads, but I did like the Clorets gum. It was kinda tasty.

    Howdy Doody will NEVER die, being an inanimate object and what not.  Buffalo Bob, OTOH...
     
    BTW, the folks I work with, who are of Mexican descent, call this overblown holiday "Drinko De Mayo".  Kinda like the difference between celebrating St. Partrick's Day here and in Ireland.
