Happy Dyngus Day!

The Monday after Easter is Dyngus Day. I'm off to Kochanski's Concertina Hall to celebrate. They are offering free homemade  pierogis with every Polish beer purchased (I enjoy Okocim). The Squeezettes will keep you polka dancing. Read more about this here.

I thought this was something Irish when I read the title.

You're thinking of the Dingle Peninsula, a name that makes me giggle like a third grader every time I hear it.  Mrs. Roadhouse and I actually visited Dingle about 15 years ago.  it runs parallel and to the north of the Kerry Peninsula, and is quite a lovely place.

Also, Kochanski's Concertina Hall is a heckuva venue.  Their entertainment calendar alternates between polka bands and local "alt" artists.  We were there one night with chicagostyledog and his wife to see a central Wisconsin Rockabilly band, the Kevin Fayte Trio.  Unfortunately we were the only four customers in the bar to hear them.  They were pure pros and did the show anyway, and they were fantastic.

Have fun MFL.  Snort a Pierogi for me!
