bb - Are you going to squeeze in a tour of Cowboys Stadium?

Somehow, Jerry Jones will have to manage without my money.  Think he will be okay?

The Rangers are in town, so I may decide to go to a game, but probably not.  The one tourist destination I have to visit every time in Dallas is Fair Park, with their spectacular art deco architecture.

Gee go figure, BB and art deco, whoda thunk it!

I will have my own car, but I am also fascinated by Uber.  We will definitely be talking about this.

When I see you, I'll give you my personal promo number which is good for $20.00 off the users first ride after registering with Uber on the Uber APP. I'd love to give it to you here but sure as shootin, someone will slam a SPAM label on my post. And, I wouldn't blame them.
Of course, there's always PM's.

I always remember very good pie at Mama's Daughters Diner. (Norma is Mama, although she passed away a few years ago). Great Meat & Three (or 4 or 5) menu.

And when you're full of pie, head to www.cakebardallas.com located in the Trinity Groves restaurant incubator. www.trinitygroves.com Just seeing the Margaret Hunt bridge is worth it. Big change from what you're used to in the Burgh. Also www.hofmannhots.com is there. You'll love the look of their building. Highly rated burgers at Off Site Kitchen, too.

I love the meatloaf served at MDD. (The Royal Lane/Harry Hines location only).
They make their meatloaf very much like my own mother used to make.
As you said, great meat & three. For well under $10.00, too!

And thanks, signman I totally forgot about Off-Site Kitchen Arguably, the very best burgers in Dallas. And, my favorite!

If you get near Richardson, Texas head over to Del's Charcoal Burgers.  Not beautiful burgers but they sure are tasty. It's the charcoal grill that gives them that great flavor.

If you're a fan of root beer their home brewed is the best I've found.

http://www.delsburgers.com/

Twisted Root Burger Company is also a great place.... but the burgers don't have the charcoal flavor and I think their root beer is second to Del's.  They run a very interesting operation.  Worth seeing.

I really do appreciate all the great information and suggestions.  This thread should be a big help to anyone visiting Dallas/Fort Worth for years to come.  There are so many great sounding choices, it would take a month to him them all.  Or one weekend with ChiTownDiner.  Hey CTD, are you available this weekend?

A big second for Del's Charcoal Burgers. When you drive by, you can see (and smell) the smoke pouring out of the chimney.
The current owner bought it from the original owner some years ago and to his benefit (and ours) didn't change a thing!

Another vote for Slow Bone. If you show up in overalls, they'll put your pic on their website or Facebook page.

I just had a wonderful lunch at Slow Bone with Buffetbuster, Schlotz, and Twinwillow followed by some extraordinary pie at Emporium Pies.

Nothing like a sugar high on top of the meat sweats on a 100 degree afternoon in Dallas.

I need a nap!

Not to worry! Many pictures were taken by buffetbuster. Including food and the four of us BBQ experts.

I'm sure BB will upload all after he gets home Sunday night. I have a feeling Cliff will be eating a lot of salads next week. Oh hell, I'm afraid all four of us will.

Simply upload pics to Photobucket.com ; that will give them a URL that you can paste into the photo icon here on RF.

But, not to worry Mar52 and Mr. Hoffman, Cliff got the "hush puppy runner" to snap all four of our well-fed mugs.
