Somebody should do a blind taste test of Sir Kensington, Heinz, Hunts, French, and a bunch of store brands.

It would have to be a 2-stage test: first the ketchups are tasted by themselves, and then they're tasted on hot dogs.

Then someone should test the testers!!

I just tried Hellman's "Real Ketchup - Sweetened only with Honey".  Honey is the only sweetening agent in the ingredient list. It's less sweet than regular Heinz & has a more intense tomato flavor. I think this will make a better ingredient in a cocktail sauce.

Heinz...never Hunts. I won't use their tomato products. Taste too sweet.

I remember Pride of the Farm when I was little in the '50s. Haven't seen it in ages! Didn't know it was a New Jersey company. Maybe it was more a local brand here.

I grew up just north of the Bronx & the local independent markets always carried the Pride of the Farm brand. It must have been a NYC metro area brand.

We use Heinz in our household. Either Organic or Simply Heinz. Both are very tasty  and go great on hot dogs.

When I'm in Pittsburgh next month I plan on ordering a Primanti's sandwich with Hunt's in place of the slaw.

Yoiks!  I had no idea that Kennywood had gone to the dark side!  But, it's good that they have seen the light.

By the way, Kennywood needs to certify that the steel in their new STEELER coaster is a local product.

SC, for that to happen you'll need to bring your own.

Not according to the list of ingredients. Although they may be like Heinz and make different varieties.

Looks a little different than the bottle of Red Gold Ketchup above (which does have High Fructose Corn Syrup)

Just because you go fishin' doesn't mean you will catch a fish. Your attempt to get a discussion going is appreciated, at least by me. To be fair, SC tried first, but you tried again.
