Heirloom Market BBQ

I have written about the BBQ at Heirloom in the past but they are about far more. They do a full range of sandwiches and outstanding sides.

Tuesday I had the Smoked Tri Tip Sandwich with horseradish sauce, cheddar whiz, a Tempura onion ring ,and house made pickles. Quite a mouthful and combination of flavors.

My side was Korean sweet potatoes. House sliced and quick fried.

One of my favorite spots in the ATL..

The sandwich looks great , can you describe the Korean Sweet Potatoes? Taste wise.

They were sweet of course with a tart/sour bite to them which I would guess is from a marinade. They were quick fried which made the smaller pieces nice and crisp while the larger pieces were crisp on the outside and creamy soft on the inside which gave them a nice contrast. They were garnished lightly with black poppy seeds. Very, very tasty....
