Just like "Dust in the Wind" was the theme of last year's heartland tour
This will be the theme of this years heartland tour.

A most excellent choice!

One week away!
Just updated the itinerary to reflect the recent add ons for the day I arrive
Hope you all don't think I'm doing the first two days alone!

Thank you. I'll be with an undisclosed Roadfooder the first couple of days. I'm just hoping that this person will be able to keep up with me as it looks like this person is  being put through the wringer right now.

Oh no!  " /> Not the iron maiden.  Could you take the shackles off on Saturday?

WJ...not sure if you are aware, but the best beer in the world (according to Rate Beer) is in Decorah Iowa. That would be Toppling Goliath's Kentucky Brunch...I think if I were already in Decorah it'd be a shame to miss.

The Chicago Tribune recently had a feature on Toppling Goliath (must register to read it).

Oh, wow, that certainly is a possibility. It all depends on logistics. We'll be in Waukon for dinner, perhaps if we make it to Mabe's Pizza before hand we can check it out. We'll be staying in Waukon overnight and and may be in Decorah for breakfast, but then it would be too early as I'll be returning to Central Iowa.

Slight change in schedule. deleted Sac County Cattle Company from Thursday's dinner schedule and moved it to Friday as a potential stop for dinner # 2. I have a very ambitious schedule already for Friday so I may have to totally dump Sac County Capital Company, it all depends on how much sightseeing I want to do in Lincoln, NE and how much I enjoy my meal at the Gold Slipper in Dunlap IA. If I'm really enjoying the meal, I'm going to finish the meal and "sack" the Sac County Capital Company.

I will be meeting with Roadfooder  Blizzardstormus and former owner of the defunct Farmer's Kitchen and his mom, Charlene, pie baker extrordinaire at the Redwood Steakhouse on Thursday evening. I am really looking forward to our meeting.

So has anyone guessed which Roadfooder will be joining me the first couple of days?

I hear that a new version of Excel had to be released just to handle the spreadsheet...

Could it be? After spending a 4 day weekend taking a bite out of Pittsburgh, is it possible for  CTD to attack Eastern Iowa knife and fork in hand?

I guess we'll have to find out!

So far he has taken a NIBBLE out of Pittsburgh.  I hope he attacks Eastern Iowa with gastronomic gusto!

I thought BB wouldn't let you get that sardine version. Of course he holds no sway over me.

I believe there's over a week left before he gets back and starts his trip report.  He is posting on the Roadfood Instagram page and I see his first chop on today's front cover of Roadfood.
