Look very closely and carefully...only one table!

You must have hid the second one out of camera sight!

I'm a meal away from being two thirds into this trip. Tuesday is my last "Roadfood" day and my flight home leaves from Des Moines early Wednesday morning.

We've passed the bowl and have collected enough $$$ to have you spend another 2 weeks in Iowa...CajunKing will forward check, perhaps it's even in the mail!

I don't think work or Sandra would appreciate that very much.

Just under two days left.
I hit my first closed spot yesterday- The Miles Inn in Sioux City. Went to Tastee in and Out just around the block instead. I still don't see what the big deal is about Loosemeats/Maid Rites/Taverns. Looks like everything else should be open. Since I'll be back tracking to The Red Barn in Exira from Des Moines tomorrow, I will call then in advance to make sure they are open

Where's the trip report?  You've been home for almost 24 hours and Sandra could have even done it live...

Hey,

Unlike you, I've got to work for a living and...when I get home it's back to my "power walks"

Let's add up your "work" days over a 17 day period of time = 2!  And it looks like Flo is misbehaving!

Give the man time. It isn't easy making up local sounding names to substitute for IHOP, Waffle House, Applebee's, Machine Shed & Olive Garden.

but are IHOP, Waffle House, Applebees and The Olive Garden reviewed by The Stern's in the Roadfood books and on the website?

Is Pizza Hut still in business back there in the East? I hear they used to have great journey cakes.

Yes, and I understand Red Lobster is too, I heard they serve Lobster Rolls- the real ones like they have in Maine.

Oh, you mean those cold lobster salads on hot dog buns.

(I'm still kicking myself for not having a lobster roll like Sandra's at Ford's.)
