I note that the USA portion of the Nestle candy biz is for sale

I would have thought that it was a crown jewel, but I guess that Nestle leadership sees it as a low growth/slow growth biz. I never cease to be amazed, though, at the cost to buy a brand name, packaged food, biz. Total sales, as I recall from the newspaper story are in the $900 mil range, but the biz will be going onto the market at several billion. Unless there is wicked inflation, how will the buyer ever get the money back??

    Didn't realize that. (The buyer is Fererro, who owns Nutella and Tic Tacs).
     
    But speaking of Nestle, what ever happened to the plain Nestle bar? I made a bet with someone that I could find one, but now I'm seeing they don't have them out. But you can still see pictures of them online; they had the red wrapper.
