Copper Kettle and Iron Skillet used to be owned by the same family.  I was their paper boy back in the 60s.  I don't think there's much to choose from between them and Hollyhock Hill.  I've never gotten even a mediocre dinner at any of them.
I'll give another thumbs up for John's Famous Stew, St. Elmo's, Shapiro's, Bazbeaux.  I also prefer Muldoon's to Bub's.

OK, last call for the Ft. Harrison area.
Frankly, it doesn't look like I'm going anywhere on foot so that does give me more options, but I'd still like to stay reasonably close to the park (and according to my friend Jim who's from Lawrence, venture in any direction other than south).  The Fort Ben Pub has a BPT on the menu so it might be my first choice but if I head west on 56th to Emerson I can visit Garrett's Smokehouse.
So if anybody has any last-minute suggestions or advice I'm all ears...err, eyes.  Thanks!
