    That's... not at all what the article is.  It's about the perception vs. the reality of what purposes Iowa's crops actually serve, as well as a wider discussion of the dysfunctions of the farming system itself.  Very informative and enlightening.  Disparaging its author simply because he's from New York - without even reading the article - is, frankly, boneheaded.
     
    It's not behind a paywall or anything.  If you're at an office that's blocking it, I seriously recommend reading it when you're at a place that allows access.
