I would not give 35 cents for any Tabasco product. IMO, just heat and vinegar, absolutely no pepper flavor.

Tabasco has made many a MCI, MRE, and LRRP ration palatable.

I've come to realize that Tabasco is somewhat like cilantro, you either love it or can't stand it.  I'm in the can't stand wagon, but admit we use it in our kitchen for certain recipes.  The problem I have with it is you can taste it above and beyond any other flavors quite easily versus other hot sauces or dry chili's.  Is it just me or are there others that can pick out that Tabasco flavor and find it objectionable?

Totally with you. We also use it in a few recipes...that's it. Hate it in Bloody's and I once had someplace use it on wings...UUUGH!

When you had to eat that stuff, Tabasco was appropriate - garbage to cover the taste of worse garbage.

I, for one, happen to like Tabasco. It goes great in eggs and is one of my favourite sauces to use with red beans and rice. Sure, I use others, but I wouldn't make an omelet without it. Don't see myself paying $35 for a bottle of this, but I wouldn't pass it up if it were a gift.

A couple drops in a bowl of clam chowder heightens the flavor.

I really like the Jalapeno Tabasco Sauce.  Great on fried eggs and rice and lots of other things.  I have a recipe for green enchiladas that uses an entire bottle of the green sauce and it's really good.
