I've had some crap this summer
I've posted about places that I like, and I'm not bringing them up, again, here. I've had some so-so, and crap soft serv this summer, that I have not bothered to post about. Some that I had today is not even as good as the stuff that they serve on Navy ships, but I paid full price. ($5.75 for a small hot fudge sundae that was actually more like medium). I'd have rather paid more for a better product. Can any pros here tell us the cost for a cone of junk vs a come of premium soft serv? I'm willing to bet that it is not enough of a difference to cause customers not to return.
For those who have not had Navy soft serv, it is not bad, considering that it starts with powder and water. A land based ice cream shack, with access to good suppliers, should, IMO, do better.
