Jersey Deli sandwiches

years ago, we had a deli here in Myrtle Beach called Piscataway Deli.  Guy from Jersey loved playing golf here, until one time the small plane he was on crashed headed toward the beach.  He lost half a finger and
decided to just move here and open a deli.

He had a sandwich I loved....it was turkey or some other meat on thick sliced white bread with russian
dressing and cole slaw.

Can anyone give me any ideas about Jersey deli slaw and russian dressing so I might be able to recreate this?  The slaw was fine chopped and creamy.

really miss that sandwich

Google Millburn Deli sloppy joe-they make the best version of this sandwich-it's a regional specialty in northern NJ, with the epicenter in and around Millburn, South Orange, and Summit.  The best delis use thinly sliced rye bread, as regular slices make it a bread bomb, as it's generally a triple decker sandwich.  Other noted delis serving this is Town Hall (creator-we like to say Town Hall invented it, the Millburn Deli perfected it) in South Orange and the Hill City Deli in Summit.
