"John Margolies' Photographs of Roadside America" (Photos of the Iconic and Kitschy)

This article from "The Public Domain Review" contains a lot of great photos by John Margolies of roadside signs and structures. I seen a few of them, but I'm thinking some others are no longer around.

I'm surprised The Legion of Decency allowed that peach water tower to stand in South Carolina.  That's the sort of thing you see in evil big cities, like Des Moines.

This guy's got "Legion of Decency" written all over him:

Unfortunately I can't seem to find any technical information (camera, lens, film, etc.) about Margolies' work.

Very enjoyable. I've given some thought to staying at the Wigwam in AZ.
