Kings Food Host

I saw where the Sterns mentioned this long forgotten place. I'll never forget ordering the food by phone. I had my first chilli burger and onion rings there. The rings were huge. I remember being disapointed with all all other onion rings. They used real onions but in my youth I didnt recognize the difference.
Thanks for brinnging back a great memory
We went to the one on Littleton Blvd in the mid-60's before they shut down. Googling them it says they were confined to Nebraska but we did have ours in Colorado.
Ant ccoloradoians remember the Hasty House? I new of the one in littleton(became Whitespot then Crestwood( and one in Colorado Springs. All I ever ordered there was the .99 steak.
DAmb am I getting old.

We had a King's Host in Boulder, CO in the 60's and 70's and (boy o boy, this was the early days of discovering what RF-ing was all about) and QFan remembers finding them as far east as Indianapolis. You're right the telephone ordering thing was really funky. They actually put out a better than average burger if memory serves correctly.
