Lynn's Quality Oysters.....WOW

When Jane and Michael categorize a place as Legendary it automatically makes me want to visit if possible. If it's also named a Top 100 in the newest Roadfood print edition and I am going to be fairly close then it's a no brainer. I'm going. The Forgotten Coast of Florida is a very special place. Fishing villages and boats far outnumber resorts. Highway 98 is almost always just a few yards from the water making it that much more special. Being a GA Bulldog I almost drove right on by when I saw the welcome wagon.

Oyster boat next to the parking lot.

Oyster sorting and unloading area.

Smoker waiting to be put into service.

This is their incredible smoked mahi mahi dip. The depth and flavor of the smoke rivaled any BBQ I have ever tasted. WOW.

A dozen fresh shucked raw were so so good....

Garlic, butter, shredded parmesan plus a steamer almost made these just too good to eat. Almost.

I will be back in the area in September and can't wait for a second visit.

Looks fantastic CP!  Thanks for the great photos and description.  When Jane & Michael mark a place as legendary, that makes it zoom right to the top of my "must-eat" list.

Yep.  This is about the best place for oysters in my book.  It's about an hour's drive away from us here in Tallahassee. We often spend the night at "The Moorings of Carrabelle" (https://www.mooringsofcarrabelle.com/) just to be able to eat more @ Lynne's the next day.  Hunt's Oyster Bar in Panama City is only about another hour's drive - but that's another story entirely.

I miss living in Pensacola primarily for the great seafood found everywhere from "The Bend" to Mobile.
And the beaches are just the Exclamation Point!
