We did it once. Lots of work. We just buy them...When we go to the Southwest, we bring a lot home!

I bought a package of "make your own" at WalMart. The Bisquick like product is made in Mexico, so must be authentic, but the reaction of my better half was not very positive. Like Lee says, "Lots of work". I have not tested it yet. I'll report when I do, even if my production end up as sheep food.

Aren’t flour tortillas available pretty much everywhere these days?

Yes...out west my sister 's Costco even sells premade uncooked ones you just cook in a pan. Can't get those, however in our Costcos back east.

Yep. We have those and lots of cooked brands too.
They have become something beyond a regional niche product.

Well, then hopefully, Costco will also distribute those uncooked ones here on the East coast. I've asked, no response,

Is there a local Mexican restaurant you patronize fairly often?  If they make their own tortillas they might be willing to sell you some dough, and certainly you could check out any Hispanic markets in the area as well.
