Mashed Potatoes made with vanilla extract

I've recently seen adds on TV about this, never heard of it, anyone familiar with it or tried it?

    Huh. I wouldn't have thought of it, but it seems like it'd be worth a shot. Might make for some interesting potato pancakes with the leftovers.

    I think it would go perfectly with Chucky's cheesesteak smothered in salad. We all look forward to seeing the new photo of your improved creation.

    I prefer my mother's mashed potatoes.  She loads them up with dairy (whole milk, butter, sour cream and cream cheese) and they would always disappear when she would bring them to the church carry-in dinners.

    The Amish restaurant,Dienner's we go to in Lancaster County makes their mashed potatoes also by adding cream cheese....delicious!

    Milk products- perfectly acceptable.
    Vanilla-NO!
    Might as well add maple syrup too and really put it over the edge.
    And top it with hot fudge and a cherry.
