Meat substitutes for breakfast

I'm going off meat for one week starting tomorrow. Dinner and supper will not be a problem but I need help with breakfast. What are some meat substitutes y'all eat for your morning repast?

Well, I never eat a meat "substitute" of any kind, as there really is no such thing!

But, most of my breakfasts, during the week, are meat free. I usually have a yogurt, watermelon and/or some fresh pineapple and a banana. On the weekends it might be an omelet (with ham and cheese) and Sunday is bacon, eggs and grits or biscuits, gravy and sausage. Are you considering eggs to be a meat? If not, then they'd make a good "substitute". They're filling and satisfying.

Sorry for not being more clear. I'm not talking about seitan or tofu. Just something that can satisfy like a few slabs of bacon or patties of sausage. I laid in a lb of mushrooms for example.

There's your conundrum.  Slabs of bacon and patties of sausage cannot be replaced with non-meat ingredients and any imitators are beyond pale, despite what any vegan hipster chick says to the contrary.  But I think you're on the right track with mushrooms...some big portobellos sliced thick and fried in butter are awfully good.

I dare you to say that in Hawaii or Austin, Minnesota.

Why add a substitute?  ... If you are like most of us, you could loss a little weight.  But if you must, just add more grits or another egg; cheese, French toast or a waffle.   Shrimp and fish could go well with Breakfast and works well with most diets while not usually considered as a meat (red/white meat anyway).

I'm very thankful I don't fall into that "majority"

You might try Morning Star Farms products. They have  a vegan bacon , link sausages and sausage patties , plus breakfast  patties. They have also breakfast sandwiches. And the  corn dogs are really good.

I eat a lot of peanuts myself. I buy a two pound container at the store and just grab a handful. I would do better to weigh them out so I don't take too many. I find them satisfying as a meat substitute about once a day or two. I like nuts too but they are much more expensive than peanuts so I don't buy them as often. Usually, when I eat peanut butter, I eat too much of it at a time but that, too, can be weighed.

I buy the 2lb tubs of peanuts at Costco and use them as between meal snacks. I almost never eat potatoes but have resorted to using them as a breakfast "meat" because they are so caloric and satisfying.

Why are y’all abstaining from meats,
    and why for 1 week?
Is it a Visonquest or health concerns
    or...?

A bagel with cream cheese and lox is delicious and really filling; also an omelet filled with lox and onions.

I must be the only person on Roadfood who doesn't like bagels. They feel like a concrete block sitting in my stomach.

Not the only one. I can take them or leave them, and I usually leave them. They're just too dense and big for me. I prefer biscuits or even an English muffin if I'm having a breakfast bread. That said, I do like the real deal bagel-like breads that I used to get in the Middle East. They aren't as dense as a bagel and they are much tastier.

In my experience the Morningstar brand has some goof options.  (Even TJ's carries some MS.)

I would suggest a visit to Collegedale TN, the home of Little Debbie and Southern Adventist University.  It is a mostly vegan town and most of the restaurants, grocery stores and student unions sell vegan products including meat substitutes.
I had many of their students as blood donors and plasma donors and they were always the healthiest of my donors and the ask me to visit their university.  I was extremely surprised at their tasty vegan products.
