There are literally dozens of Contingent posts with relevant information for your friend.  I'm guessing they're staying in Milwaukee and commuting to Menomonee Falls.  Depending on the route they take, two Kopp's locations (Layton Ave. & Brookfield) and Leon's (also Frozen Custard) are on the way, or near the interstate.  Nite Owl (Hamburgers & Malts) is a must.  Maria's and Zaffiro's are both excellent and unique choices for Pizza.  I'm also getting good reports from reliable sources regarding Transfer Pizzeria.

Contingent favorites for Mexican include Jalapeno Loco (full service, white tablecloth), and Chilango Express (super casual mom & pop Taqueria).  Also head to 5th & National in Milwaukee proper for a wide selection of urban Mexican restaurants all clustered in one area.  My favorite there is La Perla.

Jimmy's Grotto in Waukesha was the place to go for great Ponzarotta (their version of a Calzone), although one recent report said they may have gone downhill.

For great Corned Beef there's McBob's (Irish Pub) and Jake's (Jewish Deli).

Mr. Perkins or The Bungalow will get your friend some top notch Soul Food.

For good 'Que there's Speed Queen and Iron Grate.

Glorioso's and Groppi's are excellent Italian Delis.

Polonez is a Contingent favorite for Polish food.  They do a great Sunday Brunch Buffet in addition to their regular menu.

This just scratches the surface.  I'm sure others will chime in with less obvious choices.  Milwaukee is a great eating town.  Your friend won't go hungry.

Buddy

Thanks Buddy. I was preparing to show him the contingent thread(s) but figured I’d throw this out there too.

I had enough trouble spelling the M town so it was easy for me to forget the Falls part.
I meant no Badger disrespect.

And there's Menomonie WI as well, on I-94 between Eau Claire and the Twin Cities.  Bit of a drive from Milwaukee, though.
