This has become the worst thread ever.

Can a Moderator lock it down?

Or, how about we limit discussion to teams and players that presently remain alive in the playoffs?

May I inquire politely as to why Jerry Sandusky is being 'brought up' in this thread?

Yes, of course you may

He entered into the discussion following the following bit of text from earlier in this discussion

------------------
Generally speaking - and for their own mental health - I would kindly suggest that fans of the Ohio NFL franchises re-focus on Ohio's college teams, one of which is a perennial success and a worthy competitor to Pennsylvania's equivalent.

The discussion is by topic about all NFL teams, regardless of their postseason

I think news like Mike "Son of a Genius" Browns horrific/cowardly/lazy decision to extend Marvin Lewis as the Bengals HC for two more years is an example of such.  As well as the silver lining of good news, like the offensive line coach being let go.

In regards to locking the topic, I dont believe any forum rules have been broken aside from the multiple personal attacks on me, and in my experience here that's usually handled by user suspension rather than thread lock, though at times certain posts involving the personal attacks do also get removed

One streak is going to be broken today! KC hasn't won a playoff game since 1994. Titans losing in the playoffs goes back to 2004. I'm betting the Chiefs (at home) ends the misery.

O.K., your point is well-taken.

So, I congratulate Clevelanders for holding a parade to celebrate their team's "perfect season":

Also, it is refreshing to see that rooting for an Ohio NFL franchise and having a sense of humor are not mutually exclusive.

Well, if you'd bet on the first half only you would've won...

not much humor to be found when one is a fan of team A that has to defeat two teams whenever they play team B, which is full of despicable people

Well, there's one reason to root against New England, if the ESPN report is true that there is trouble brewing in the New England Org, then a loss in the Superbowl, or any game before, will certainly put pressure on the parties and if there's an issue, it will come to head. If they win the SB, winning cures most afflictions, and Seth Wickersham looks like a man whose simply looking for things to make a story.

Congratulations to the Eagles for their gutsy win over the resurgent Falcons.

They caught a horrible break with Wentz, but - remarkably - are still standing.

As Tony Romo suggested during the game, the botched interception by Atlanta at the end of the first half could be the Eagles' version of the Immaculate Reception.  The field goal that resulted made a huge difference in the outcome of the game.

So, how are your Bungles doing so far in the playoffs? Oh, wait, they didn't pay the officials enough to get into the playoffs this year. I forgot. Well, cheer up. You can always go to the Cincinnati Zoo to see animals.

The PITTSBURGH STEELERS ended a decent year with a rather bizarre loss.

Oh well, even if you win more than anyone else, you can't win them all.

Perhaps now the fine folks in Philly, Jax, or Minnesota will finally have a season to cherish.

So good to see the Rapistburger fans abandon their team by leaving the stadium in droves with most of the 4th quarter left to play. True fans.

I guess we can agree at least that we do not want to see the Belicheats hoisting another trophy. I too am ok with any of the other teams winning. Saints won one recently so I am hoping the Vikings beat them, that and I am a huge fan of the Vikings coach, who is our former DC.

They stop beer sales in the 4th. Quarter and STEELER NATION had some serious drinking to do.

Fret not though, we still  our WONDERFUL TEAM

Clearly though, they have to figure out a way to win after putting up 42 points on a warm-weather team playing in 16 degree Heinz Field.  I think we'll be drafting some defense.

Well, it sure won't be bon appetite if I have to serve "hot dish"
for Super Bowl Sunday, especially since that is the day that we have to pick up our Chinese guests at the airport!" />
