Sorry that I got off the subject!  Now I will carry on and say I wish we could have fried shrimp for Super Bowl Sunday!

The bigger question is what to choose now since there are a million options open between a New England themed meal and a Philadelphia one.

Goodbye everyone. I am out. Laugh all you want. Have a good time. I hope everyone eats well. Goodbye, good health and bon appetite.

Unfortunately it appears that this really was a signing off for good post as it's been a week and she has not posted since this one.  Once again it looks like someone is just really tired of your act TJ.  That's two long time contributors that have quit posting directly because of repeated unpleasant interactions with you.  Great job.  Keep it up and soon you can just post back and forth with yourself all day.

You're right. She was signing off for good because of TJ. I'm hoping she'll change her mind, but I certainly understand why she might not.

[Understand. Been there. I've learned that ignorant or smart, all can punch keys. Take the good with the bad.The brain is a good filter. Hopefully, she'll realize, if she stays away.they win......

Simple. Cheesesteaks and lobster rolls. Or, turtle soup and chowder.

I love the idea of cheesesteaks and lobster rolls but with 10 wrestling teen-age boys, 2 Chinese girls and 3 other tee-age girls, it would take a month's food budget!

How about a big batch of clam chowder and roast a Pork Butt for build your own Sub/Hoagies.

No commentary about the Jags being tagged for 98 yards of penalties, several of which were for the Jags' DB's foggy breath clouding the vision of the Pats receivers.

No need.

I've already covered the subject of the two teams that are favored by the officiating crews extensively.

I like to try new things and i did cheesesteaks the last time the Eagles went.  I also did chowder one of the many years that New England was in it.  I haven't done lobster rolls so that might be an option.

I like the idea of a roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe so I'll keep that on the potential list as well.  I've never had one so it will be just going by internet recipes.

Last time I did New England I made Olneyville New York System hot weiners along with fries that were topped with ketchup and vinegar.  I also did homemade coffee milk syrup.  That meal was a hit.

I've had very good pre-game meals before the last two Eagles games: wings and my favorite local pizza before the Falcons game and very good old-school Chinese (egg roll, ribs, sweet & sour shrimp) last night. I'm going to think long and hard about what I should have before the Super Bowl.

On a related topic ... this is a big day for me in more ways that one: I'm both still celebrating last night's win and also preparing to book an Iowa-Nebraska trip for later in the year tonight.  I won't be eating pork chops or loosemeat sandwiches before the Bowl, but it's only a matter of time now!

Well, you could always use surimi instead of lobster. And eye of the round instead of ribeye.

I spent the the 1st 50 years of my life in the NYC area, so there is no way I can root for either the Pats or Eagles. Guess the season's over!

Because of the Chiefs connection, I shall actually root for a NFC team to beat the hated patriots. Besides, Philly has better Roadfood and isn't that what's most important?

Aside from watching the commercials, is anyone outside of Philly or N.E. interested in SB LII?

I'm not big on the commercials, but I am looking forward to the game. I can't root for the Eagles because they're in the division with the Giants. And I don't want to root for the Patriots because they're still in the AFL as far as I'm concerned. On the other hand, if the Patriots win some Bungles lover will be unhappy, so .........

Two predictions:

1)  Brady & Belichick will prevail.
2)  TV ratings will be way off.

Only one of those outcomes will please me - and I'll be doing "my part".

Oh, and here's a third:  we'll see Janet Jackson, but we won't be seeing her breast again.
Now that's a welcome thought!

It would have been better with Tom Brady and without Ben, Bell, Brown, and Bosworth.

Congrats to the Eagles and all their fans!

I was undecided if I would watch the game or not, but so glad that I did.  Best Super Bowl game ever?  It has to be in the conversation.
