The Steelers (using the proper team name as long as the same courtesy is extended to a certain other team) are in recent years a MUCH better team at home, so seeing the Chiefs with essentially a first year QB dismantle them there is a great shock - to me at least

Indeed, the Steelers defense really bungled that one, to say nothing of their bungling the final minutes of the Cleveland game.

Five consecutive quarters of bunglement; how much can one man take?

That's why I did not hit 'shift' while typing the letter 'b'' above.

To paraphrase "Pittsburgh Dad":
"What's happening here?  Is "suck" back-flowing up the Ohio?".

Fair enough

But I'd say 0-1-1 is a bit closer to "suck" than 2-0-0

Local media seems to believe that the Steelers are imploding.  I am not sure I am paying cash for that one.  Been beat so many times by that team of late that one starts to believe the two losses are a foregone conclusion

Or, perhaps "greatness" is flowing down the Ohio.

Uhm, uhh......if you say so

I dont think we've really been tested yet.  Indy is mediocre at best and the Ravens are overrated.

Carolina on the road this weekend will tell us a lot.  I dont expect to win - thats a really hard place to win - just hoping the game is competitive/close.  This may sound strange, but I will be happy with anything but a "got stomped" loss.  I want to see this team face more adversity and deal with it.

TJ-
I was driving through Cincinnati last Thursday night as we stopped at Camp Washington Chili and the Graeter's in the Clifton neighborhood.  Tons of people in Bengals jerseys and from hearing them talk, they seemed enthusiastic and confident.

I was crossing the bridge from Kentucky around 6:15pm and ran into what we assumed was football traffic.

yeah, the game was at 8:30, so you were seein folks who wanted to get some (relatively) cheaper eats outside the stadium before heading there for the game

I assume the traffic was gawdawful until you got just past downtown

The traffic was heavy the last five miles or so in Kentucky, but as soon as we crossed the bridge, it was smooth sailing.  I enjoyed seeing so many people in Camp Washington Chili in Bengals jerseys, as it reminds me of all the fans in Steelers jerseys at Primanti's before and after games.

I admit I am surprised - I'd have thought it'd be a bit scary for a Pittsburghian (ite?) to be surrounded by so many long-suffering Bengals fans

I know I wouldnt want to be at Primantis right before a Steelers game

So Cincinnati’s city to city feud is with Pittsburgh, not Cleveland or Columbus?
That means Pittsburgh is hated from Philadelphia and Cincy.
That’s working hard. Props!

I think most Cincinnati fans generally feel sorry for Cleveland, having themselves suffered through the 90s and early 00s with similarly gawdawful Bengals teams as the Browns have had in recent years

Perhaps that will change.
I read recently that Columbus is now the largest metro area in Ohio.

The most entertaining thing about "Pittsburgh Dad" is that he's not funny or interesting and doesn't seem to be aware of it though he continues to make videos.  Apparently other people aren't either since he has advertisers.

Columbus is actually the largest (population) city in Ohio, never mind metro area.

So you don't see the Sterlerz being tied by the Brownies as being a Sign of the Apocalypse?

R. E. L. A. X.

I wouldn't bet against the Steelers making the playoffs based on this small sample size. The cream usually rises...

That's the problem with social media - it's hard to ascertain the mood, spirit, or intent of the writer.  In this case I was "jabbing" saps for not finding "Pittsburgh Dad" to be in any way funny.

Granted, he's not the second coming of George Carlin, but I don't see how anyone (like both JRPfeff and me) who has spent time in Pittsburgh would not at least find him chuckle-worthy.

BTW, one does not have to "agree" with a comedian to appreciate their humor.  Now that Sam Kineson and George Carlin are gone and Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy have retired from stand-up, my present favorite is Lewis Black; I don't think we vote alike.  And where is Jon Stewart now that late-night has become humorless?

I wish there was an "I'm being sarcastic" emoji !
It'd come in real handy for us Yinzers.
