No, its not whining to point out the absolutely uneven treatment that one player gets over other similar players, or obvious favoritism by referees for certain teams

But it is hyperbole to suggest that a player would be well suited to be a contract killer

Which player in the NFL right now is similar to Burfict and cheap shots in the manner and the voracity in which he does?  I wouldn't want him on the Bears.  Bad dude.  I do however see what you're saying about the uneven treatment he receives.  Most players would be suspended right now- Burfict has been given a free pass this time. Ignore the Burfict video that I posted.  It's just trickery.  Most of things didn't happen.

I remember when I was a little kid and thought the Vikings got all of the calls because the referees favored them.  I even thought that the Cowboys played more home games than anyone else.  Then I grew up and realized that those teams were better than the Bears.  The referees don't care who wins.  In fact, it would make more sense for the NFL to make winners out of perennially weaker teams and strengthen those markets or to favor bad teams in the largest markets.

The irony here is good, however.  You're complaining about the Steelers getting shown favoritism, yet you ignore Burfict's transgressions, stating he's being treated unevenly.  And like I said, I can't stand the Steelers or their silly fans, including the idiotic and boring Pittsburgh Dad.

Also, if the refs favor the Steelers, why would they allow the Browns to come back from 14 down to tie the Steelers in the first game of the year?

Not really.

Actually, he wouldn't fit in with the Mafia.  Their 'hits' are usually quick and clean - an ice pick into the base of the skull, a 'double tap' to a vital area before the saws and meat grinder.

But the Saudis … fingers ripped off and limbs sawed off while the victim is still alive.  Oh, they must pay extra for such 'talent'.

Here's the film that Burfict should enclose with his application to the Crown Prince's HR Department:

They'll love the parts where he twists limbs after a dirty hit.

Burfict doesnt sexually assault multiple women

Burfict doesnt form a posse around him and then proceed to ambush folks in a Vegas casino

Burfict doesnt tweet about shooting other players if they are in the neighborhood

Burfict doesnt go to break the jaw of a punter in a play the punter wasnt even part of

Burfict doesnt stand over a player he has brought to the ground and taunts him, and then goes on to disgustingly play out that same scenario in later games as a planned celebration

Burfict doesnt snap the knee of a quarterback after the play is over

Burfict isnt a coach who comes illegally onto the field to incite opposing players into fouls

His psychiatrist?
His lawyer?
His pastor/minister/priest/imam/shaman?
His jeweler?
His car salesman?

You have to have some undisclosed pecuniary or fiduciary interest in an individual who, if you search "Burfict dirty" over 10 pages some up on Google and 100's of videos on YouTube.

Or, do you just hate/envy THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS so much as to applaud potentially career-ending or life-threatening injuries inflicted on them?

Would something like these make you happy?

You can't say that Burfict ain't trying.

========================================================================
These are different things that Steelers players have done over the years by different players.  There are a lot of other players on other teams that have committed similar acts, and even players on the Bengals.

Roethlisberger, however unsavory as he is, appears to be among those NFL players who have been involved in sexual assault issues and have been able to by their way out of it or not be charged.  However, the NFL that favors the Steelers didn't ignore it, and suspended him for 6 games in 2010.

Whatever transgressions have occurred by players on other teams, t certainly doesn't justify Burfict's behavior.

And the Bengals have certainly had their own bad guys.  They're the team that signed a guy like Adam Jones, and had Chris Henry on their roster, among others.

Who snapped the knee of a QB after a play was over?

Bengals even drafted Joe Mixon, who did this:

I failed to mention Hines Ward dirty hit on a Bengals linebacker on a crackback block that resulted in a broken jaw for the player he hit.  Steelers players seem to be especially fond of breaking jaws.  IN any case, a new rule was added after that season to disallow such hits

I also failed to mention that Ryan Shazier's current state is due to his dirty play, frequently spearing folks with his helmet, just as he did on his final play against - yep, the Bengals.  One such earlier hit (On yet another Bengal, Gio Bernard) also resulted in a nfl rule change for the following seasons

If we're gonna google a player for dirty play, lets go with  - hmm, so many to choose from - ok, yeah:

The Von Oelhoffen hit happened 13 years ago.  And he was coming off a block and was going to the ground and went into his leg a split-second after the ball left Palmer's hand. It was also a legal hit at the time.  Von Oelhoffen wasn't known as a dirty player.

Have the Bengals engaged in any dirty play over the last 13 years?  Just asking for a friend.

But I get it- You condone what Burfict does, but not players of other teams when there is dirty play.  Your bias is quite clear and it prevents you from looking at your team in an objective manner.

Guys like James Harrison, Mike Mitchell, and Hines Ward are/were dirty, no doubt.

The Steelers are dirty and have had some unsavory people on their team over the last 15 years or so.  You know who is right there with them?  The Cincinnati Bengals.

Here's a clean Bengal hit on Andrew Luck that never happened.  Not the first time by Shawn Williams.

Mitchell is thought of as a menace.  Hines Ward was thought of as one of the dirtier wide outs but he's also a good one.  Harrison didn't get a free pass.  He was a good player but also a dirty one, and he's meted plenty of head shots.  I don't think anyone outside of Pittsburgh saw him as a clean player.  Both Ward and Harrison have appeared on various "dirty player lists".

Burfict came out of college with a reputation for dirty play.  He's doubled down on it in the NFL.  He's taken a lot of really nasty kill shots at other players at a rate that exceeds even Harrison. Harrison and Ward were dirty.  So is Burfict.  All three are talented- and none of their dirty play is/was marketed as "good, strong, physical play".  That's a load of crap.

Harrison and Burfict are both scum as far as I'm concerned- but Burfict has been committing dirty fouls at a rate that exceeds even Harrison.

But stop defending Burfict.  You sound like a Steelers fan when they defend Harrison, Ward, or Roethlisberger.

And yes, everyone finds Steelers fans annoying.  Except for Steelers fans.

Yeah, right.  Just like they did with James Harrison.  Especially when they cut Cedrick Wilson for assaulting his girlfriend and kept Harrison after he assaulted his girlfriend.

But if that was true, how come that wasn't done with James Harrison, who was a dirty player as well?  Further, after a domestic assault, James Harrison was still kept when another player who committed domestic assault, Cedrick Wilson, was cut because of the charges.

The Rooneys' are just the same as any other owners.  They want their team to win above all else.  That's why they kept Roethlisberger and Harrison and cut a scrub like Cedrick Wilson.

Which is the same reason why Burfict hasn't been cut by the Bengals.

Burfict's performance level has been pitiful thus far this year - the tackle machine has become a missed tackle machine - hoping he shakes the rust off soon
