I have to agree with one of the CBS "talking heads" that called the 2018 PITTSBURGH STEELERS "the most talented team ever not to make the playoffs"., not .

But, in the true spirit of Yinzers everywhere, I will make no effort to "assign blame".  Instead, I'll just hope that the men and boys of the BLACK & GOLD, on reflection of 2018 and taking lessons therefrom, will do better next year.

It is good news to us Bengal fans that Marvin Lewis is out - but with Hue Jackson waiting in the wings we're not in a party mode just yet

Offhand I'd guess you've spent too much time trying to learn how to navigate the Columbia in that Weldcraft.

Michael, going back years ago I had a bass boat. I had my wife in the boat and we/I/me grounded the boat in the middle of the Snake river. My wife asked me " How the heck do you ground the boat in the middle of the river" Good question. Needless to say I now know the areas of the river to watch out for.....We are going out next week for Walleye and Sturgeon......

Based on what's come out in the past week or so, the problems with the Steelers run deeper than most people previously knew.

Hopefully TJ's face isn't too sore from all the grinning.

praying that Brown and Bell go to teams outside the division, or better still, to the nfc

also happy that Josh McDaniel has been dropped as a HC candidate

Even though I'm not "rooting" for such a result, that is my prognostication as well.

This morning I read that the Bears led the league in quite a few defensive categories, and with the youth they have on that side of the ball the future looks very promising.  And yet I also read that defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is going to interview for a couple of HC positions next week.

One the things that helps make walleye fishing fun is the feeling each time I hook an 'eye that I've found one of my missing socks. So, OK, they don't fight, but they sure taste great.

You're right Michael, Walleye is a wonderful tasting white flake fish. So far my first play-off picks have not gone as planned. It reminds me of when I was at a horse race track in Venezuela. I picked 9 last place horses.

No, but I did have the best roast pork sandwich I ever had. I bet the horses are in trouble even more nowadays.

Looks like the Saints will be the team TBD vs. New England in the Super Bowl.

And it's just their hard luck that this year's game will be played outdoors in the cold.

Not that it's going to make you feel any better, but for the sake of Parkey's future reputation and physical safety, it should be known that the league has officially ruled that the kick was blocked rather than missed. One of the Eagles got a finger on it.

That 'fickle finger of fate' is a lot easier to swallow for Beas fans than this this $hi^ty call was for for us:

Boston sportscasters may just be upping the hype, and looking for something to talk about, but unless the Pats make it through this weekend, against what may be a better team, they don't deserve to win. (Obviously if they don't make it through this weekend, they are out). I'm not a giant fan, but I'll watch at least part of the game. If they make it trough the game, I'll agree with WJ's prediction, but not until..........

MetroplexJim,

I received this clarification for you:
You are just so ignorant about the NFL rule book. That would only be a completed pass if the ball came loose on the 1-yard line and was recovered by the Patriots or fumbled through the end zone and turned over on that basis.

Sincerely,

Roger Goodell
I hope this helps Amigo,

Coming from that vapid $45,000,000 empty suit such tripe makes it even worse.

Now, if Condi Rice whispered that in my ear, it may be a different matter.  But, a) she would not whisper in my ear or b) utter such nonsense.  Jesse James, untouched, was in full, firm possession of the ball as he broke the plane and took it to the ground.

I can only wonder what "miracle" awaits this year as the Pats squeak by slither past the NFC Champ in the SB.

When you first posted this the video link didn't come through, and since you're in the Dallas area I thought you were referring to the Dez Bryant "non-catch" against Green Bay in the 2014 playoffs.

I didn't care much one way or the other about the Dez Bryant call, but it sure got the locals panties all in a knot.  BYW, I hear that Dallas is in the playoffs this year.  How lovely for them; I was starting to wonder about all the goofy grins I've been seeing lately.
