I loved the America the Beautiful and National Anthem renditions...beautiful!

The game was for the most part boring although the last field goal and the missed field goal gave me back to back square wins at 3-3!

The halftime show was one of the worst ever.  This is all we got...

From its lack of fan representation in Atlanta I have to conclude that La Ciudad de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles is now a fútbol and béisbol town.

Good luck with having two NFL franchises in a place that first lost the Rams, then couldn't hold the Raiders.

Patriots deserved it, just like all of the other times.  I hate them, but they are disciplined and efficient- to a point that it's boring.

At some point, they'll go away.  I prefer to be entertained by sports.

But as far as all of the cheating accusations and Deflategate, those things are a waste of time.  The Patriots win and have sustained their success because they are the best coached team that plays to its strengths, are able to effectively scout and manage talent and put players in the right roles, they manage the salary cap well, and they have a QB who studies and prepares as hard as anyone.

A local church has a sign out front. Usually it has a cute little play on words to get people to come to church. Now, it says,"Lombardi Trophy Back Where It Belongs". I'm all for the Pats, but even I think that the trophy "belongs" to Green Bay. Some year, they will get it "home".

Anyone watching the Alliance League games? From the action I've seen, it seems that the defense is way ahead of the offense, or maybe it's the QBs that are the problem.

I watched part of a game last weekend and the QB play seemed pretty erratic.

I wonder how many former NFLers are trying to make a comeback through the new league.  The game I saw had 1 DB who'd played for 5 seasons before injuries got to him, but other than him I don't think there were any recognizable names.

If I told you that an NFL owner got caught in a sex snare, who would be your first guess? Well it's not Jerry Jones; it's the Pat's Kraft down here on the east coast of FL.

What's wrong with a 77 year old gent hauling his aching bones into a seemingly reputable establishment for a soothing massage?

While I am certainly in no position to "throw stones" at Robert Kraft, I will state my disgust at the Main Stream Media for purposely conflating his 'offense' with the 'human trafficking' charges facing the owners of the establishment.

Were I he, I'd sue their a$$es off!

Right.  Except that prostitution is illegal in Florida and Kraft knew exactly where he was going.  If he was going there for a massage they wouldn't have him on video.  He a stupid moron for putting himself in that position.  That's on him.  He's a big boy and he's responsible for his actions and the consequences.  Everyone is really shocked that human trafficking occurs within the illegal sex trade.  At the least, get a high-end escort and have her brought to the Ritz.  Or, maybe he could spend time with his girlfriend that's half his age. Not the media's problem.  He's a public figure and he put himself in that position, unless members of the media drove him to the massage parlor and forced him to partake.

The Steelers send Brown to the Raiders for a couple of non-first round draft picks. Did Chucky get himself a steal or a headache?

The new NFL year starts on Wed., with Free Agency signings.

I would have been okay with the Steelers throwing in a first round draft choice, just so I don't have to hear about it anymore.

So Burfict has been released

Unsurprising to me (and mind you, I am a Burfict fan) for several reasons, though not for the reasons most of you might think

I am hoping that he will decide to retire from football - his production was greatly diminished in 2018, and he's had numerous concussions.  If I had a way to get word to him, I'd counsel him to think about his diminished capacity and about quality of life ongoing even with the concussions he has already sustained.  Why risk the quality of the rest of your life when you've already made enough money to live several lifetimes?

I honestly hope no franchise (NFL, AAF, CFL, Arena) gives him another chance to play - but again, not for the same reasons many of the rest of you might have in hoping for that same result
