Thanks.By the way, is Sandy's hamburgers around/ In San Antonio  there is a place called BurgerBoy. Think it was part of a chain years ago, but only one, maybe two in San Antonio left.

I had breakfast at the Powell, TN location this morning. Two eggs, half a plateful of fried taters with onions with a scoop of sausage gravy over them, and an order of bacon (four slices!) plus coffee, a whopping $5.84. No wonder I'm gaining weight, with this place a mile away and breakfast at that price!!

Ooh, good to hear, we ate there awhile back, and it was really good. The waitress was a gem too.

The Powell one is a solid family business. The owner, Miss Willie, passed away last year and after a couple weeks of mourning, her daughter Mendy took over the management. Her sister is Mendy's alternate head cook, and daughters/granddaughters/cousins are servers and dishwashers. All are as friendly and helpful as can be.
Last month, a regular customer with a new, unfamiliar car hit the gas instead of the brake, jumped the curb and drove thru the front door. No one hurt, thank goodness! Insurance fixed it all up and it's business as usual except for a new sign by the front door - "No Through Traffic"!
