New England Monthly MeetUp . . . October 2014 version

We're putting our heads together to come up with a plan for October. Currently leaning toward gathering on Saturday, October 25 in Connecticut. Ideas tossed around include . . . Orangeside Luncheonette, New Haven, for donuts . . . K La Mays in Meriden for a steamed burger . . . Zuppardi's in West Haven for Clam Apizza and Sausage Apizza, Louie's Lunch in New Haven and if we head further south, Lou's in Norwalk for pizza. Hmmmm???

No fried clams??????  Alas!  Maybe a side to West Haven for those and/or Lobster rolls rather than a 2nd pizza place

Keep us posted - it's the week after the Charlotte trip so we may still be digesting, but would love to see folks.  I could easily skip the steamed cheeseburger (just NOT a fan), but CT pizza, donuts, maybe a good chili dog somewhere sounds great!

Sounds like a great itinerary!  Hoping to make this one.  Dayna and I have a friend's wedding the evening before but hopefully won't be partying too late.  I'll have to check in with her to make sure we don't have anything else going on that day.  Was looking into renting a car for the day but it looks expensive so may just take Metro North to Waterbury and then back to NYC from New Haven at the end of the tour.  Might I be able to catch a ride with someone in exchange for a meal or chipping in for gas?

Paulde, any idea as to what time the tour might be wrapping up at Louis Lunch?  I ask as my girlfriend and I will probably be renting a car and driving up from NYC and just wanted to get an idea of when we would need to get it back.

Also, we may have a friend coming up to join us for the last stop but she may not be driving up from NYC until 2:30.  Might she be able to make the last couple of stops (or join us at the last one)?  Thanks.

Hi everyone - we'd love to join you at Zuppardi's - Karilyn, I'll PM you my cell phone, we are about 50 minutes away, so perhaps you could text us at some point during the day with an ETA?

Time frames are hard to predict on these outings.  If we move along at a brisk pace I would hope to be finished by 5:00pm.  It certainly could be later.

Had such an awesome time with everyone yesterday!  So much great food and such a great variety!  Is anyone looking to post a trip report about it?  If not, I'd love to put one up on the site.  Let me know if that would be okay.

All, Is it possible to give a date on the next two New England Meet-Ups in advance? No region, town or agenda, just the date for November and December. That would help me plan my work schedule around the meet-ups.
